About him
I am an easy-going gent, who has been single for about 3 years. I have many friends and acquaintances, but no special lady in my life yet.
I like to focus on the more positive things in life, although I am aware that far too many people suffer in wars and through real poverty.
My main hobby is music; I am struggling to learn less modern pop music on the guitar and have many hundreds of CDs, still to organise and play on occasion. In addition to Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and Dire Straits, I also like older Jazz, along with Country and Western and Folk music.
I prefer to listen to this music, rather than watch TV too much.
I did a Maths degree at Cardiff with great difficulty, then went into computer programming, followed by teaching English and Maths at home in Bournemouth, when I was with my lady partner for over 20 years.
I have also played a lot of Chess and Bridge.
I have lived in Germany, Singapore, Moscow and China in my past.
I consider myself to be most fortunate to live in Cornwall now and while I am usually happy, I miss the company of a special and compatible female.
