About me:
Hampshire-based, recently retired from the law — which means I’m good with words, reasonably house-trained, and only argumentative when absolutely necessary.
I divide my time between golf (optimism outweighs talent), playing piano in a jazz band, strumming a guitar when no one’s listening, and doing some voluntary work to balance out the fun bits. I read the papers, enjoy good food, and firmly believe laughter improves almost everything.
I’m divorced, emotionally available, and at a stage where I know who I am. I have three (theoretically) grown-up children and a grandchild who already has me wrapped around his little finger.
What I’m looking for:
Someone bright, warm, and playful — with opinions, curiosity, and a good sense of humour. You don’t need to love golf or jazz (though I may try to convert you), but you should enjoy good conversation, easy affection, and the occasional spontaneous plan.
Long walks, live music, lazy lunches, and trips that start with “Shall we just…?” all very welcome.

Laughs easily. Kind to waiters. Enjoys music. Not alarmed by a man who owns more than one pair of smart shoes (they’re mostly Vans. Sorry about that).
