About him
I'm a retired doctor, living in Argyll. Now that my daughters have left home and I don't have a busy job, I'm looking for someone to share things with. I spent my working life as a hospital consultant in the NHS, but have also worked with MSF in Africa. I love the outdoors, keep bees and am a keen gardener. Music is very important to me, I listen to the radio a lot and go to live concerts whenever I can. I listen to classical, jazz and traditional celtic music mostly, but like most kinds of music. I don't like the idea of categorising music too rigidIy, there's good and bad in all genres. I don't have a TV but listen to the radio and read a lot. I love to spend time with friends, talking, eating good food and enjoying a glass of wine. I enjoy cooking, especially cooking with a special friend. I'm a caring compassionate man who enjoys the company of others, but strong and resilient and comfortable with my own company. I'm looking for someone to have fun with.

I'm hoping to meet an independent minded lady who enjoys life and has plenty of energy. I hope to find someone who has interesting views and life experiences and who shares some of my interests. We don't have to agree on everything though and someone who stands up for herself is a must! Someone who is serious, but can also be playful. A love of music and a common sense of humour would be important, but hard to define. I love radio shows such as The News Quizz, the Now Show and I'm sorry I haven't a Clue, if that helps. I would love to meet someone with a sense of curiosity and fun, with a zest for life, but most of all a lovely woman who could be my soulmate.
