Hi. I’m Hugh, six foot tall, I am very grounded with traditional values I am both compassionate and empathetic, with a sharp sense of humour. Living on my own, I long for real conversation, j’adore the company of an intelligent, intellectual & perceptive woman. I have a great passion for the natural world, but not a lover of hot sun.
I live on a spectacular part of the South West Coast Path where I regularly experience extraordinary sunsets over the sea. The sea is always there, ever changing,it’s a big part of my day. 🌊 I was a volunteer Coastguard for ten years. 👨✈️
In complete contrast I enjoy occasional city breaks. I always have a book ‘on the go’ I like to cook.
I have sung in a acapella sea shanty band for 12 years, currently taking a break. I have published a 600 page genre blend, emotional, darkly comedic phycological thriller, looking for an editor, is that you?
I am highly practical after a lifetime of renovation & restoration. I am creative with French oak and Cornish granite.
I am not a great fan of technology, social media etc or the shallowness of modern politics.
I do not lack in both experience and confidence as I ran my own company successfully for two decades. So let’s enjoy, embrace and celebrate who we are and not attempt to change each other.
