I’m a writer and published author who had the luck to get going before AI came along. I love my work, and have no plans to stop (although a better work-life balance would definitely be a good thing…)
I lived in London for many years, and now live in Kent, but visit London often to see friends and go to concerts, galleries, opera and the theatre. I have strong links to Oxford, though I don't get there as much as I'd like.
Books, music and the arts are an important part of my life. I love languages, and hope to learn at least one more. I like cooking (nothing too ambitious - the nursery slopes of Claudia Roden and Elizabeth David), and gardening (getting a grip on a ramshackle garden is turning out to be a useful lesson in patience). I’m fond of (watching!) cricket and rugby, despite (or because) of not understanding the rules. Describing oneself on the looks front is a thankless task, but I’m slender, active and fit (from digging the garden, rather than going to the gym).
